Oder of the House that the Senate be requested to send down the Bill to prevent the creation of unnecessary costs in criminal prosecutions, was read and concurred, and the Bill was sent down.

[Committee to confer with Penobscot Indians]

On motion Ordered that Messrs. Bond, O'Brien and Case be a Committee to confer with the Governor and Lieut. Governor of the Penobscot Tribe of Indians. -

[Report on Petition]

Mr. Witham from the Committee, on the petition of Benjamin Shaw and others, reported that they have leave to bring in a Bill: Read accepted and sent down for concurrence. -
