Bill to cede to the United States of America the jurisdiction of certain lands, (reported by the committee appointed 8th inst) was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve authorizing Nancy Sweat Administratix of the estate of John Sweat deceased to convey certain real estate - was read & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill granting to the Saco and Ossipee Log Navigation Company a certain right in Limington Bridge, (reported by committee on petition of John Spring & als) was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Mr Mowry of Lubec obtained leave of absence [inserted above]^after today and Mr Blake after Monday next.

Bill additional to an act respecting House of conviction, and for suppressing and punishing rogues, vagabond, common beggars and other idle or disorderly persons, came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence - and the House referred the same to Messrs Quinnam of WIscasset, Abbot of Vassalboro & Richardson of Portland.

Bill to regulate the taking of fish in the town of Brooksville, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Limington & Standish Broom Company (reported by the Committee on petition of Isaac Cole & als) was read [underlined]once & referred to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to an act for the better securing & rendering more effectual, grants &, donations to pious and charitable purposes, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
