55 Wednesday January 16th 1828

Order of the House of Representatives appointing Messrs Russell, Leach and Hubbard with such as the Senate may join to inquire into the expediency of so altering the existing Law requiring the superintending School committee in each town and plantation to visit the schools of each Dis- trict at the commencement and close thereof, as to dispense with their visiting said schools unless directed by the town or plantation to which they belong at the annual meeting after the choise of town or plantaion officers with leave to report by bill or otherwise came up for concurrence and the Senate nonconcurred and referred the same to the com- -mittee on Literature +c . Sent down for concurrence. concurred.
