Mr. Dunlap from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, on an order of February 10th instructing that Committee to inquire into the expediency of providing that the Governor of that State shall, ex officio [?], be a member of the Board of Trustees of Bowdoin College, reported "Bill additional to an act to alter the Law Establishing Bowdoin College" which was read a first time and, having been ordered to a second reading, was again read and passed to be engrossed. Mr. Green from the Committee in Incorporation of Towns on the petition of Jeremiah Gordon and others reported an order, that the petitioners cause an attested copy of their petition and this order thereon to be served on the Town Clerks of the Towns fo Hollis and Briddeford respectively sixty days before the first Wednesday of the first session of the next Legislature, that all persons interested may then appear and show cause why the prayer of said petition should not be granted Read and accepted.
