Report on petition of Seth Spring and Report on petition of George Reid and others, granting leave to withdraw, accepted in the Senate and sent down for concurrence, came up referred to the next Legislature, and the Senate reconsidered their former votes and concur with the House in their reference
Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote was read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.
Mr. Dunlap from the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, on the memorial of Rembrandt Peale offering his services to the State to paint the Portrait of Washington, reported that the funds of the State will not admit of an appropriation for this important object. read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.
Mr. Williams, from the Committee on State Lands, on the petition of the Selectmen of Ellsworth reported a Resolve authorizing the Land Agent to aid the town of Ellsworth in making a road through the State Lands in said town, which was read a first time and having been ordered to a second reading was again read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.
