An order came from the Senate referring so much of the Governors Message as relates to internal improvement to Messrs Churchill and Southwick with such as the House may join – and the House concurred and Messrs Howard of Augusta, Greenleaf of Edgecomb and Sanborne of Baldwin were joined.

Petition of David J Bent that authority may be given to the town of Bangor to assess a tax for the purposes of defraying the expense of purchasing the Bridge in said town, was read & referred to Messrs Bent of Bangor, Eaton of Brewer & George of Newport.

Petition of Oliver Sewall to be paid his account for certain services

were severally read and referred to the committee on accounts. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Jordan Spencer for aid in building a Bridge over Great Works Stream

-of Daniel Brown for a grant of land for reasons stated

were severally read and referred to the committee on State Lands Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on the order to enquire what alteration is necessary in ["]an act entitled an act authorizing the town of Bangor to purchase the Bridge over Kenduskeag Stream” reported that the committee be discharge from any further consideration thereof – and the report was accepted.
