100 Thursday January 29th 1829

Met according to adjournment.

The House reconsidered their vote of 27th assigning today at eleven oclock to come to the choice of a Major General for the fifth division of the Militia of this State and assigned Wednesday next at eleven oclock for that purpose.

On motion of Mr Cummings of Paris,

   Ordered That Messrs Cummings of Paris, Kimball of Rumford & Merrill if Sidney be a committee with as Senate may join to take into consideration the sinking condition of the inhabitants of the town of Greenwood with leave ect read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve to promote the publication of a General History of this State - was read once and amended at R by inserting the words " & organized plantations" and then ordered to be laid on the table.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill additional to an Act incorporate the Proprietors of Old town Bridge - which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve for the assistance of the Deaf and Dumb, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
