An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs Green & Kimball with such as the House may join a Committee to consider what alteration or improvement may be made in the present system of supporting the poor – and the House concurred & appointed on their part Messrs Riggs of Georgetown, Clark of Hallowell and Hazeltine of Searsmont

The Committee of this House on the petition of John C Freeze reported a reference to the next Legislature – and the report was accepted.

Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of Ferry point Bridge, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to incorporate the General Hospital of Maine, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Petitions of Isaiah Jenkins & others to be set off from Litchfield to Wales - of William Gardiner & als of Machias Port to be annexed to West Machias - were severally read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – relating to Fish in East Machias Waters, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

Bills to authorize the Selectmen of Gardiner to appoint an additional number of Enginemen - - additional to an Act to regulate the taking of Salmon, Shad & Alewives in the town of Machias, passed February 27th 1810, - reported as duly engrossed, were severally passed to be enacted.
