162 the law relating to Highways, as to abolish fees of such complainants, as do not prevail, or at least to prevent costs on complaints made without just casue - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the South Parish in the town of Bridgton was read once & referred to Messrs. Mitchell of North Yarmouth, Williams of Readfield & Baldwin of Mercer.

Bill to prevent the destruction of Fish in Sebasticook River was read a third time & passage refused. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Charles Vaughn & als to be incorporated as the Piscataquis Manufacturing Company was read & referred to the committee on Manufactures in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of John K. Smith was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Mr. Osburne of Bloomfield has leave of absence for one week after today.

The House reconsidered their vote of 2nd instant accepting the report on the petition of Joshua Swett & al granting leave to withdraw - and referred the same to Messrs. Frost of Topsham, Crummins of Cape ELizabeth & Shapleigh of Berwick. And the House adjourned. Attest James L. Child Clerk
