Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of the North Parish Congregational Meeting House in Thomaston, was read a third time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on contested elections made a further report by which it appears that Daniel Emery, Rufus K. J. Porter, Jabez Mowry, George Jewett, Nehemiah Hunt, Abraham Thomas, John Winslow, Phinehas S Bennet, Noah K George and John Sargent were duly elected and the report was accepted.

Bill. to incorporate the General Hospital of Maine, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill additional to an act to incorporate the Saco Iron Works Company was read a third time and passed to be engrossed as amended on sheet annexed marked A. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Clerk of the House be directed to procure to be printed for the use of the members three hundred copies of the general statement of the affairs of the State Prison - read & passed.

Ordered that Messrs George of Newport, Hill of Lyman and Humphrey of Gray be a committee to inquire into the expediency of adopting some measures to give to the several towns & plantations in this State, earlier information of the laws passed by the Legislature of this State & likewise to give to such towns & plantations correct information in relation to such other proceedings of the Legislature, as are of general & public interest, particularly in relation to elections. read & passed.
