The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed - Bill – in addition to an act to incorporate the North Yarmouth Academy - - to incorporate the town of Carthage which were severally passed to be enacted – Sent up for concurrence

The same committee reported as duly engrossed - Resolve – in favor of Samuel Thatcher - - respecting the survey of the Indian Townships - which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of sundry inhabitants of Freedom that said town may be included in the contemplated new County of Waldo, was read & ordered to be placed with the papers on the subject of said new County.

The Committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred the petitions of Jonas Clark, Jeremiah Bailey, William D Williamson and Benjamin Chandler and also several orders relating to the fees of Judges of Probate, Registers of Probate, Clerks of Courts &cc reported the following Bill – and the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – establishing salaries for Judges & Registers of Probate - was read a 1st & 2nd time & Tuesday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading and referred to Messrs Abbot of Castine, Smith of Hollis, Poland of Standish Abbot of Vassalboro’ Richardson of Jefferson, Emery of Hampden, Taylor of Fairfield, Chandler of Calais & Gibson of Denmark.

The committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred the petition of Hannah Lincoln & al, reported leave to withdraw – and the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.
