His Excellency the Commander in Chief going to be absent from the Army for a few Days; the KNowledge of which may possibly reach the Enemy, and Encourage them to make some Movements, in Consequence thereof
The General [?] the officers of all Ranks, to be in perfect Readiness, to meet Them on the Shortest notice, and Recommends to the Out Guards[?], to be very Vigilant and Attentive, and the patroles [patrols] active and Watchful

Some Disputes[?] having origin with Respect to the Manner in which the Camp Guards are to get the Countersign[?] & to Receive the Captains[?] who Visit them - the General Commanding the Divisions Direct[?] that in future the officer of each guard is to send a sarjeant [sargent] from the guard at orderly time to the Major of Brigade
