Bill – additional to an act providing for the government of the State prison, and for the punishment of convicts, was read a 1st & 2d time and amended as on[?] sheet[?] annexed & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill – to establish a Registry of Deeds at Topsham was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill – to incorporate the Seven Mile brook Dam Company, reported with amendments which were adopted, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – establishing the times of holding the Court of Sessions in Penobscot County, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill – to incorporate the Kennebunk port Distillery Company was rad a second time and refused a third reading. Sent up.

Resolve – providing compensation for certain officers of the Legislature which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence

Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law for procuring all the records of the Supreme Judicial Court for the several Counties in this State, which are now deposited in Boston, to be transcribed, and certified & deposited with the Clerks of the Counties to which they belong, together with all the original papers belonging to said records – also to consider the expediency of causing all the special laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which relate
