30. Tuesday January 9th 1827 Met according to adjournment. A letter from Messrs Carey & Lee of Philadelphia was laid before the House by the Speaker, transmitting copies of their advertisement of Strucklands Reports upon Canals, Rail Roads, Turnpike Bridges & which was referred tot he Committee on Literature &. Sent up for concurrence

The Speaker laid before the House the Memorial of Jonathan Elliot of the city of Washington proposing to publish the first volume in January inst, of a series of debates, resolutions, & other proceedings had in convention in the thirteen original States on the adoption of the Federal Constitution & which was referred to the Committee on Literature &. Sent up for concurrence.

Petitions of the Selectmen of Calais - of the Selectmen of Baring for aid in constructing a road in the town of Calais. were read and referred to Messrs Spoonerr of Cooper, Dwinal of Lisbon & Snow of Frankfort with such as the Senate may join.
