The committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed

Bill – making further provision for legal process

-additional to an act providing for the government of the State Prison, and for the punishment of Convicts

-to prevent the destruction of fish in Sebasticook River

-providing for the organization of towns, destitute of Town Officers

-to incorporate the Oxford Lodge

-additional to an act concerning the assessment & collection of taxes

which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Secretary of the Senate and Committee on the Pay Roll of the House, to make up the Pay roll of the members including Monday next – and the House amended the order by striking out “Monday” & inserting “Tuesday” and then passed the order as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – to incorporate the Mousam Canal Company, was read a 1st & 2d time & this afternoon at three o clock assigned for a third reading.

Bill – additional to the act respecting the inspection of lime and lime casks, came from the Senate refused a passage for concurrence – and the House so far reconsidered their former votes as to concur the Senate.

Bill – granting a Lottery for the benefit of Primary Schools came from the Senate that body adhering to their vote passing the same to be engrossed – and the House adhered to their vote postponing this Bill indefinitely.

Resolve – making further provision respecting the State road from Sunkhaze to Mattawamkeag river, was read a second and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
