Message from the Senate by Mr Low their Secretary,

Mr Speaker,

The Senate have amended the Roll of accounts No 7 for 1825 and the Resolve for the payment of accounts against the State which had passed to be engrossed, as on sheet in which the same is enveloped, and request a concurrence. The House concurred and the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

Resolve – relating to the State Printing, came from the Senate with a proposition for a conference & appointing on their part Messrs Scamman, Kimball & Parsons. The House accepted the proposition & appointed on their part Messrs Cobb of Durham White of Monmouth & Hutchinson of Hartford.

Bill – to incorporate the Mousam Canal Company was read a third time and passed to be engrossed with amendments. Sent up for concurrence

Bill – granting a Lottery for the benefit of Primary Schools came from the Senate with a proposition for a conference and appointing on their part Messrs Green, Dunn & Kimball as conferees[?]. The House accepted the proposition & appointed on their part Messrs Longfellow of Portland, Warren of Palmyra and Evans of Gardiner. as conferees.

Bill – imposing a duty on sales, of Lottery Tickets, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – authorizing a Lottery for improving the Navigation of Kennebec River, came from the Senate with sundry amendments for concurrence – and the House refused to reconsider their vote postponing this Bill indefinitely.
