State of Maine.

To all persons to whom these Presents shall come,

Greeting:

Whereas, before Charles Johnson, one of our Justices of the Peace in and for our County of Cumberland, at Windham, in the said County, on the fifteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one, Daniel Hussey, of Windham, in our said County of Cumberland, yeoman, was convicted of the crime of feloniously stealing, taking, and carrying away a certain quantity of while [white?] pine merchantable boards; and thereupon, by our said Justice, was sentenced to pay a fine of one dollar, together with costs of prosecution; and he the said Daniel Hussey has humbly supplicated us for mercy:

Now Know Ye, That, upon full consideration of the premises, WE do hereby grant to him the said Daniel Hussey, a full and free Pardon of the crime aforesaid; of which, all our Judges, Justices, Magistrates, and officers of every denomination are to take notice:

Witness , Albion K. Parris our Governor, with the advice and consent of our Council, and our Seal hereunto affixed, at Portland, the eleventh day of February, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and twenty three; and in the forty seventh year of the Independence of the United States of America.
