136 Bill an additional act for regulating Ferries, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Bangor Literary Club, reported in this House by the committee on Literature & Literary Institutions, was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill for the relief of debtors to the State, was read a third time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill an additional act regulating divorces was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of a Committee of the town of Cape Elizabeth in relation to their State tax & praying relief, was read & referred to the committee on Finance.

Bill to authorize George F. Richardson exclusively to navigate the Androscoggin River with horse boats, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve in favor of Anson & Alfred Academies, reported in this House by the committee on Literature & Literary Institutions, was read once and Monday next at 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Bill additional to an act regulating judicial process & proceedings, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

On motion of Mr. Smith of Newfield, Ordered, That Messrs.Smith of Newfield, Knowlton of Montville & Dodge of Portland be a committee to inquire whether there are any public defaulters to the State, and if there are, whether it is expedient to commence prosecutions for the security of such defaulcation with leave to report &c - read & passed.
