43. Petition of Samuel Cony, Adjutant General for an increase of salary, was read & referred to the joint special committee on the subject of salaries. Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the petition of a committee of Frankfort praying that said town may be annexed to Penobscot County, presented at the last & referred to the present Legislature - read & passed. Sent up

An order came from the Senate appointing Messrs Dennet and Butman with such as the House may join a committee to consider what further measures ought to be adopted in reference to the seat of Government, and the accommodation of the several Departments of the same - and the House concurred and Messrs Pilsbuy of Eastportr, Farnsworth of Norridgewock and Bonney of Turner were joined
