[Committee on Compensation to the Land Agent] On motion of Mr. Campbell, Ordered that Messrs. Campbell and Green, be a Committee with such as the House may join, to consider what compensation ought to be allowed to the Land Agent for his services, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise: Sent down for concurrence, was concurred and Messrs. Treat, Adams and Snow were joined.

[Petitions referred] Petition of Jonathan Tucker and others for authority to build a free bridge across Back Cove; Petition of John Spring and others in behalf of the Saco and Ossipee Log Navigation Company, to have certain rights in Limington Bridge; and

[Remonstrance] Remonstrance of a Committee of Limington against a Petition of John Spring, and others; committed in the House to the Committee on Turnpikes, &c. came up for concurrence, were read and concurred.

[Petitions referred] Petition of Timothy Hall Jr. for further pension, committed in the House to the Committee on Sick and Wounded Soldiers, came up for concurrence, was read and concurred.

Petition of a Committee in behalf of China Academy for Legislative aid, committed in the House to the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, came up for concurrence, was read and concurred.

Petition of Inhabitants of Matinicus Island to have their lands confirmed to them by the State, committed in the House to the Committee on State Lands, came up for concurrence, was read
