State of Maine.

Whereas, by a Resolve of the Legislature of this State, entitled, “Resolve in favor of Abel Gibson” passed the seventeenth day of February, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, the “the Secretary of State is authorized to make and execute, in behalf of the State, a deed to Abel Gibson releasing and conveying to him, his heirs and assigns, all the right, title and interest which this state has in and to a certain parcel of land in Freyburg in the county of Oxford, nearly opposite to the Academy, and being the same which was conveyed by James Osgood to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, on the seventh day of June, one thousand eight hundred and nine.” “Provided, the said Abel Gibson shall first have made and executed to the State, a good and sufficient deed of a lot of land in Brownfield, in said county on which a gun house has been erected, together with said gun house, for the use of the State: and Provided also, that said Gibson shall release the State from all claim and demand he may have against it, by reason of a deed or covenants made to him by the Secretary of State, in virtue of a Resolve authorizing the conveyance of a gun house in Fryeburg, passed January thirty first, one thousand, eight hundred and twenty six”. And whereas the said Abel Gibson has conveyed to the State of Maine, by deed of warranty, duly executed acknowledged and recorded, the said lot of land in Brownfield, with the said Gun House thereon, and the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging; and also released the State from all claim and demand he might have against it, by reason of a deed or covenants made to him by the Secretary of State, in virtue of said Resolve authorizing the conveyance of a gun house in Fryeburg; thereby complying on his part, with the provisions contained in said Resolve in favor of said Abel Gibson.

Now therefore, Be it known, that J. Edward Russell, Secretary of State, of the State of Maine, by virtue of the authority to me given, by the Resolve aforesaid, and in compliance with its provisions, in consideration that the said Abel Gibson has made the conveyance aforesaid, and also released the State from all claim and demand as aforesaid, do hereby, in behalf of said State, release and convey to him, his heirs and assigns, all the right, title and interest which this State has in and to a certain parcel of land in Fryeburg in the county of Oxford, nearly oppose the Academy, and being the same which was conveyed by James Osgood to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, on the seventh day of June, one thousand, eight hundred and nine; reference being had to said Osgood deed, for a more particular description of
