[Committee on contracts made with land agents in Massachusetts]
On motion of Mr. Ripley,
Ordered that the committee on State Lands be directed to inquire into the expediency of authorizing the Land Agent to carry into effect contracts made by the Commissioners of the Land Office of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with certain settlers on Townships No. 1 & 2 north of the bingham Purchase, on the east side of the Penobscot River, with leave to report by Resolve or otherwise: sent down for concurrence: concurred.

On motion of Mr. Holland,
Ordered that the committee on New Trials be instructed to inquire what alterations, if any, are necessary in the existing laws, giving power to the Justices of the Judicial Courts to appoint auditors &c. with leave to report by Bill or otherwise: sent down for concurrence: concurred.
