111 Petition of John Dickerson, Judge of Probate of Washington County, praying for an increase of Salary, came from the Senate referred to the select committee of both Houses on the subject of Salaries for concurrence and the House concurred.

Communications were received from the Secretary of State transmitting legal evidence of the service of the orders directed to be served on the corporation of the Passamaquoddy Bank and on the President & Cashier of said Bank, and they were referred to the committee on Banks & Banking in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - establishing the County of Waldo was called up & considered, & on motion ordered to lie on the table until 1/2 past two oclock this afternoon -

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Bills - repealing the act to annex lot number seven in the 13th range in township number four to Dixfield - - to incorporate the Trustees of the Bath Public Library - - to incorporate the Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution - - to incorporate the Boston Manufacturing Company - - additional act relating to Hogshead Shooks - - additional to an act concerning the assessment & collection of taxes - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Resolve - in favor of the town of Howland, - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - additional act respecting the Maine Wesleyan Seminary was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading. 

Resolve in favor of the Maine Wesleyan Seminary, laid upon the table by Mr Evans of Gardiner, was read once and Tuesday next at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
