112. Message from the Governor. To the Senate & House of Representatives

 In pursuance of a request made to me by the Governor of the State of Georgia, I submit to your consideration a proposition to alter the Constitution of the United States.

 The foregoing communications together with the accompanying documents was read & referred to the committee on Literature in concurrence with the Senate.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the secretary of State to notify the Governor & Council. that Elias Thomas has been duly elected Treasurer of State, for the current year has accepted that office an given bond to the State for the faithful discharge of his duties, with sufficient sureties to the satisfaction of the Legislature, & the House concurred.

Mr Adams of Cherryfield has leave of absence after Monday next during the remainder of the session

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing that the committee on Parishes be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law for the incorporation of voluntary association as Bible Societies & report ect ant the house concurred.

Bill additional act respecting Ferry Point Bridge, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill additional relating to the Inspection of Mackarel, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of James Newhall, reported by the committee on the Judiciary, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
