116 Bill additional act respecting the Maine Wesleyan Seminary was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

The committee on engrossed bills, reported as duly engrossed Bill to incorporate the Buxton Manufacturing Company - which was passed to be enacted.Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of State to inform the Governor that the two houses of the Legislature have elected Albion K Parris Esqr a Senator to represent this State in the Senate of the United States for the term of six years from and after the third day of March next & that the Governor be requested to furnish him with the credentials necessary to entitle him to his seat in that body from and after the time afterward & the House concurred.

An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Committee on Parishes who have under consideration an order to inquire into the expediency of enabling voluntary associations to incorporate themselves as Bible Societies, extend their inquires to like incorporations of Musical Societies, for the purpose of ailivating and practising the science of sacred music, & the House concurred.

Bill additional to an act regulating judicial process & proceedings, reported with amendments, which were adopted, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the St Croix Steam Navigating Company was read 1st & 2nd time & Tuesday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.
