Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be requested to inquire into the expediency of extending the time for building Rumford Bridge &c. read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Stephen Heald for leave to change his name, was read and referred to the committee on change of names.

Bill extending the Charter of the United Marine & fire Insurance Company of Portland for certain purposes, was read a 3rd time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Report of the committee of this House on the petition of the Selectmen of Milo, granting leave to withdraw, was read & accepted.

Bill - to change the name of the town of Montgomery, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - to incorporate the town of Trescott, was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Kennebunk Port Distillery, came from the Senate with amendments for concurrence and the House adopted said amendments as further amended by them at P. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Oxford Female Institution was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed as amended at B. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve respecting the Report of the Prison Discipline Society, was read once, amended in the title, & at A & Monday next at 10 oclock assigned
