The committee to whom was referred so much of the Governors Communication as relates to the subject of internal improvement and a system for a proportional distribution of the surplus funds of the United States to promote internal improvement reported at length the views entertained by them upon that subject - and the Resolves annexed thereto - and the same were assigned for consideration on Saturday next at 10 oclock & 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the members.

The committee engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed, Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of Old Town Bridge - to incorporate the Proprietors of Norridgewock Falls Bridge - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence

The same committee reported as duly engrossed, Resolve - in favor of William Tozier - in favor of Nicholas Pierce for opening & clearing a road from the Southline of township number two, Old Indian purchase on the East side of Penobscot river to the Mallanawcook Stream were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve relative to the State Road, North of the Bingham Purchase, was taken up & the new draft of the Senate adopted and three oclock this afternoon assigned to take the subject into consideration.

Adjourned until 1/2 past two oclock this afternoon.

Remonstrance of Gideon Allen & als - of Samuel Bickermore & als - of selectmen of St George all against the petition of Joseph Sevey & als to be set off from St George were read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.
