Resolve in favor of Joshua Carpenter was read a first time and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading. Resolve in favor of Joseph Chase was read a first time and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading. Report of Committee referring to the next Legislature the Petition of John Austin and others - came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred. Bill - additional to an act to establish the Bucksport and Prospect Ferry Company, was read a first and second time and Monday next assigned for a third reading. Petition of Edward Russell for compensation was read and referred to the Committee on Claims - sent up for concurrence. Petition of the Selectmen of Belmont, that certain of their doings may be made valid was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary - sent up for concurrence.

Petition - of the town of Temple for a separate representation was read and referred to the Committee on the Apportionment of Representatives &c - sent up for concurrence.
