Also Resolve in favor of Plantation No. 1 in Range 7th in the County of Penobscot,” Resolve in favor of China Academy,” and Resolve making valid certain proceedings of the town of Clinton,” and they were severally passed. -

Resolve fixing the place of meeting of the next Legislature at Wiscasset,” was read a 2d. time and passed to be engrossed, the question being taken by yeas and nays as follows, viz.

Yeas, Messrs. Parsons of L. Green, Stebbins, Fairbanks, Southwick, Lord, Parlin, Kelsey and Campbell. – 9

Nays Messrs. Scammon, Prime, Dunlap, Dunn, Churchill, Whitney, Shepard, Holland and Ripley – 9

The Senate being equally divided, the President gave the casting vote in favor of the passage of the Resolve. -

Mr. Churchill then gave notice that he should at 3 oclock this afternoon, move for a reconsideration of the vote last passed. -
