Bill to incorporate Dearborn Academy was read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. The Yeas and Nays were ordered and stood as follows - Yeas Messrs. Dennett, Sweat, Emery, Kavanagh, Richardson, Miller, Herrick, Shaw, Balkam, Williams, Cushman and Weston; 12 Nays Messrs. The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table a written Message from the Governor communicating the resignation and discharge of Major General Joel Wellington of the second Division of the Militia of this State . On motion by Mr. Balkam the Senate assigned this afternoon at 4 o clock for the purpose of coming to the choice of a Maj. General for the Second Division.
