Monday February 26 1827

Met according to adjournment

A message was received from the Senate by Mr Hutchinson their secretary informing the House that the Senate have voted that when they adjourn they will adjourn without day - and thereupon the House passed a similar vote.

Resolve on the Pay Roll of the House of Representatives came from the Senate, that body refusing a Conference & adhering to their votes amending the same - and the House receded & concurred.

Resolve in favor of Aaron Blaney, laid on the table by Mr Ames, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

Resolve respecting the Deputy Secretary of State, came from the Senate that body adhering to their former vote - The House recede from their votes so far as to concur with the Senate.

On motion of Mr Ames,

  Ordered that each member of this House wear black crape upon his left arm for the period of thirty days from & after the dose of the present session of the Legislature as a badge of mourning, and in token of respect for the memory of Mayor Andrews M Bradbury late a member of this House from Standish, but now deceased - read & passed.

Report on the Resolve in favor of the town of Poland postponing the same indefinitely, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.
