Petition of the President & Trustees of Bowdoin College for the consent of this State, that said Corporation may be released from certain conditions contained in a deed of two townships of land from Massachusetts &c, came down referred in Senate to the committee on the Judiciary for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill - in further addition to the several acts now in force to organize, govern & discipline the Militia of this State - was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bills additional act to incorporate the Maine Stage Company - additional act to incorporate the Portland Mutual Fire Insurance Company

- to set off a part of Township numbered one in the second range and annex the same to the town of Concord

which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed Resolve authorizing Julia B Jones to convey real estate - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence

Resolve respecting the dividing line between Hollis & Waterboro' was read & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on the petition of Nathl Sanborne & al, reported an order of notice - and the report was read & accepted. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Black & als praying that a part of Surry may be annexed to Ellsworth, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.
