John Grover was then by the President of the Convention declared duly elected - the convention separated -

[order for the Secy of State to notify John Grover that he has been chosen Senator &c] In Senate On motion by Mr French ordered that the Secretary of State notify John Grover of Bethel in the County of Oxford that he has this day by a convention of the Senate and House of Representatives been elected a Senator to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Nathaniel Howe and request his immediate attendance - concurred -
