Tuesday February 10 1829

Met according to adjournment Petition of Samuel Weston to be reimbursed certain sums paid for commissions for individuals who refused to receive them & pay him the duty advanced therefor, was read & referred to the committee on Claims. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Alden of Brunswick, Ordered, That the committee on the Militia, and Military Affairs, be instructed to inquire into the expediency of repealing so much of the Military Law,as provides compensation to Quarter Masters of Regiments & Brigades - read & passed . Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to prevent the destruction of pickerel in Damariscotta pond, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Report on petition of Nathaniel Davis came down referred with the accompanying papers to the committee on Claims for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill enlarging the powers of Constables in the town of Eastport, reported in a new draft which was adopted, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as in said new draft. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Springvale Printworks Company reported, with amendments which were adopted, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to cede to the United State a site for a pier in Saco
