On motion of Mr. Eastman of Cornville, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be requested to inquire as to the expediency of making further provision by law for the support of paupers residing without the limits of incorporated towns & plantations - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to prevent the destruction of Fish in Sebasticook River, came from the Senate, that body adhering to their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed - The House receded from their vote of 14th instant and then on motion referred the same to the committee on Interior Fisheries.Sent up for concurrence.

Bill additional to an act providing for the promotion of Education was read 1st & 2nd times & Friday next assigned for a 3rd reading at 10 o'clock, and 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the members.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill - an additional act concerning the Municipal Court of the town of Portland, - repealing part of an act establishing the duties to be paid by certain officers therein named, - to incorporate the Brunswick Falls Cotton Factory, - to incorporate the Proprietors of Anson Bridge, - repealing certain parts of the several acts now in force to organize, govern & discipline the Militia, - to incorporate the Gardiner Mutual Fire Insurance Company - which were severally passed to be enacted.
