139 Monday February 16th 1829

[Resolve respecting settler on Public Lands] Mr. Parsons from the Committee on State Lands on the petition of Elisha Pettingill & others reported an Additional Resolve respecting certain settlers of the public lands and the same was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

[Bill respecting attachment] Mr. Kingsbury from the Committee on the Judiciary on order of January 26th reported Bill additional respecting the attachment of property. Read once and tomorrow 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.

[leave to withdraw on Pet. John Hearsey] Mr. Dane from the Committee on the Judiciary reported leave to withdraw on the petition of the Selectmen of Madison and on the petition of John Hearsey. " a reference to the next Legislature of the petition of the town of Turner. and [Com. discharged] That the Committee be discharged from the further consideration of the petition of William Nason and others. Read & accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

[Pet: Jedh Dow referred] Petition of Jedediah Dow relating to the preservation of domestic animals was referred in concurrence to the Committee on that part of the Governor's Message relating to Agriculture

[Pet: John P. Sims referred] Petition of John P. Sims and others to be exempted from Military duty was referred in concurrence to the Com. on Militia &c.
