Bill authorizing Mechanics & others to sell property on which they have a lien, was called up & referred to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote was called up & referred to Messrs Stevens of Belfast, Bonney of Turner & Powers of Sandford.

Bill to revive the Falmouth Canal Corporation for certain purposes, was read a third time & passage refused in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill fixing the compensation of the Chief Clerk in the office of the Secretary of State, was read a third time & indefinitely postponed.

Bill additional act respecting Clerks of Courts, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Bill respecting the Surveying of Land, was read a third time & indefinitely postponed.

Bill repealing the fifth section of an act additional to an act to organize, govern and discipline the Militia of this State was read once & indefinitely postponed.

Resolve directing an action against the Trustees of the Mariners Church, was passed to be engrossed as amended and in a new draft. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to establish the rate of interest, and to restrain the taking excessive Usury was read a third time, amended, & then
