To your excellency Isrial Washburn Jr Sir you no doubt will be surprised in recieving this letter from me" The reason why i write to you is because I am very lame and am not used right here in this hospital,, I was wounded at the Battle of Hanover Court House the 27th day of May and was sent here the 3d day of June.
