83 Saturday January 22nd 1831

Ordered that Messrs Shapleigh of Berwick White of Milburne and Jackson of Jefferson be a Committee with such as the Senate may join to inquire into the expediency of altering or amending the existing laws providing for the repair and amendment of highways with leave to report by Bill or otherwise read and passed sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr White of Monmouth

  Ordered that the Governor be requested to send to this House copies of all the directions which have been given by the Executive in relation to the erection of the State House in Augusta together with such plan or plans of the same as have been adopted

Report on Petition of Nathaniel Haskell granting leave to withdraw came from the Senate recommitted to the Committee on State lands with instructions to report a Resolve act for concurrence and the House concurred

Report of the Committee on Incorporation of Towns granting an order of notice on the Petition of William Goodwin and others came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred

Report of Committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred an order of the 10th instant in relation to an act additional to an act giving remedies in Equity that legislation on the subject is inexpedient came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred

Report of Committee on Incorporation of Towns granting orders of notice on Petitions of John Gowen and others also on petition of Seth Paine Jr. and Sixteen others came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.
