160 Tuesday February 13, 1831 Met according to adjournment

Resolve in favor of Waterville Light Infantry was read a first time and tomorrow at eleven o'clock assigned for a second of the same.

Bill authorizing the town of Portland to lay out a Highway over Tide Waters was read a first and second time and Thursday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a third reading of the same.

Report of Committee on Interior Fisheries granting leave to withdraw on Petition of William Cummings and others came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

An Order came from the Senate instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of authorizing the Judges of the Supreme Court to exercise the same powers in relation to recognizances entered into the Court of Common Pleas, continued for the prosecution of an appeal in civil actions as they now have in actions on Bonds and other specialties for concurrence - and the House concurred.
