On motion of Mr Knowlton - Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing a resolution empowering and directing, the Selectmen of the several towns and plantations to give in their votes upon the following question - shall the Constitution of this State be so amended, that the time of meeting of the Legislature shall be fixed on the third wednesday of August instead of the first Wednesday of January - sent up for concurrence -
On motion of Mr Smith of Gray Ordered, that Messrs Smith of Gray, Robinson of Vassalborough and Gallisson of Charlotte, be a Committee with such as the Senate may join to enquire if any, and if any, what alteration is necessary to be made in An Act establishing and regulating the fees of several Officers and other persons therein mentioned passed March 20. 1821. to report by bill or otherwise - sent up for concurrence -
