117 amending the law so as to compel incorporated Plantations to support the poor of their respective Plantations - sent up for concurrence.

An Order came from the Senate for concurrence directing that Asa Redington Jr. Esq who has been employed to draft Bills and Resolves be authorized to purchase a suitable writing desk to be placed in the room by him occupied, and the House concurred

Communications were received from the Clerk of the Courts in Lincoln County in compliance with the orders of the 9th and 13th instant which were read and referred to the Select Committee of this House who have this subject under consideration.

Report on the Order for the Preservation of Roads and Highways, the Committee asking to be discharged from the further consideration of the subject came from the Senate accepted and the Order referred to the Committee on State roads for concurrence. and the House concurred.

Report on an Order relating to the Baring and Houlton road - the Committee asking for leave to be discharged from the further consideration of the Subject - came from the Senate accepted and the order referred to the committee on State roads - and the House concurred.

Petition of Hezekiah Winslow of Dixmont and nine others praying to be incorporated by the name of North Dixmont Mile Company, was read and referred to the Committee on Manufactures sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Wm. Ward Jr. and five others praying to be set off from the town of Belgrade and annexed to Sidney was read and referred to the Committee on Division of towns - sent up for concurrence.
