274 Monday March 21, 1831 Met according to adjournment The House reconsider their former vote whereby they indefinitely postponed Bill relating to the Falls and Mill privileges on Nequasset Falls in Woolwich and refer the Bill to the next Legislature - sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that Messrs. Parks of Bangor, Deane of Ellsworth and Williams of Augusta be a committee to inquire whether the timber lands in townships number 7 and 8 in the 2nd Range north of Bingham Purchase east of Penobscot River were sold agreeably to the provisions of law, whether the plans and field notes of the survey of those lands and others have been returned to the Secretary of State as the law directs and whether the lots which the law requires shall be reserved for the public uses to be appropriated by the Legislature have been designated.

Ordered that the Judiciary Committee be instructed to inquire into the expediency of defining by law the extent to which mortgages of personal Estates shall protect property thereby conveyed against the claims of subsequent creditors or purchasers - when the property thus conveyed remains in the hands of the mortgagor and the transfer of the same is not made notorious - sent up for concurrence.

Petition of the Selectmen of Sebago for separate Representation was read and referred to the Committee on apportionment of Representatives - sent up for concurrence.
