The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table the returns of votes for Governor, our given in the several towns and plantations in this State, and the same were committed to Messes Meqquier, Boutelle, and Emerson, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred, and Messrs Pierce of Gorham, Hinkley of Bluehill, Shaw of Sanford, Crowell of Waterville and Nason of Orono are joined.

A message was received from the House informing the Senate of the organization of the House of Representatives by the Choice of Benjamin White, Esquire, Speaker, and Joseph G. Cole Clerk.
