�32 a company of our men the day before. but we could find nothing of them. When we was coming back. we came in sight of some of our own men that was on Picket guard. and they took us for rebel Cavalry and fired at us several shots before they found out who we was. fortunatly no one was hurt.
May 20th Nothing new to day. in Camp all day. May 21st Companies H and M of the 1st Maine Cavalry. and 3 Comp[anies not clear] of the 5 New York Clavary was sent down to Woodstock to take a small body of rebel
