257 Report on the petition of the Winthrop Agricultural Society,

- on petition of Amareah Mitchell and others, granting leave to withdraw, were severally read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill regulating the survey of lumber in the county of Penobscot was taken up and the question upon concurring with the Senate in amending the fourth section by striking out the words " Provided nevertheless that any person may sell and dispose of their lumber at the Mill marks and the same may be shipped without survey" was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the negative as follows - yeas 59, nays 75. The House adopt the first, second, fourth, sixth and seventh amendments proposed by the Senate and nonconur in the other proposed amendments. On motion to postpone the Bill indefinitely the question was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the affirmative as follows, yeas 72, Nays 68. Sent up for concurrence.
