The petition of George Sawtelle for a renewal of his pension. Read & referred to the joint Standing Committee on Military Pensions. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Knowlton from the joint Standing Committee on Parishes, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of the Selectmen and Town Clerk of Bethel. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to prolong the Charter of the Bath Bank. Read twice and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

The Report of the joint Standing Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, referring the petition of the Proprietors of Parsonsfield Seminary, to the next Legislature, came from the House; the House nonconcurring the Senate in acceptance of said report, and recommit the same; the Senate recede from their vote accepting said report and recommit the same in concurrence.

Resolve additional in favor of the Canada Road; read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill providing that draws in free bridges over tide waters, shall be made at the expence of the several Counties. Read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
