Whereby they passed said Bill to be engrossed, amend as on sheet annexed, and the question on indefinitely postponing the same being ordered to be taken by Yeas and Nays, was decided in the negative as follows; Yeas, Messrs Boutelle Drummond Hunton Herrick Randall Read Warren 7 Nays. Messrs Bradbury Burnham Cobb Cogswell Davee Emerson Gibson Howard Knowlton Pease Scammon Smith Talbot Webb Williamson 15 and the same was passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence. Order from the House directing the Secretary of State to lay before the Legislature, a statement of his doings under a Resolve passed in 1831, entitled Resolve respecting the Records in the office of the Secretary of State. Read and passed in concurrence.

The Senate recede from the vote whereby they passed to be engrossed as amended a Resolve relative to the public Laws, further amend the same as on sheet annexed marked B and pass the same to be engrossed as so amended. Sent down for concurrence. Nonconcurred.

Resolve in favor of Samuel W. McMahon came from the House passed to be engrossed for concurrence. The Senate nonconcur and indefinitely postpone the same. Sent down for concurrence.
