On motion of Mr. Shaw of Wiscasset, Ordered That the committee on Claims be requested to enquire into the propriety of allowing the claim of William Witt Esquire of Washington - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill regulating the Fishery in the Kennebec river near the mouth of the seven mile brook in the town of Vassalboro, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill to change the name of West Machias was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to set off a tract of land from Pittsfield & annex the same to Canaan, came from the Senate amended for concurrence and the House concurred.
