The petition of Benjamin Young and others " of Nathaniel Treat and others; " of Ira Wadleigh and others in relation to the survey of lumber, were read and referred to Messrs Emerson, Merrill, and Ingalls with such as the House may join; sent down for concurrence - came up concurred and Messrs

The petition of the President Directors, and Company of the Canal Bank for increase of their capital stock was read and referred to the committee on Banks and Banking, in concurrence.

Bill authorizing Barnabas Brackett to maintain a dam and slip on Moose Brook came up from the House amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed, adopt the amendment proposed by the House and pass the same to be engrossed, as amended, in concurrence.

The petition of Jonathan Bartlett and another to be annexed to Newry was read and referred to the committee on the Division of towns, in concurrence.

The petition of George Porter, to be annexed to Wales, was read and referred to the committee on the Division of towns, in concurrence.

The report of the Land agents of Maine and Massachusetts was referred to the committee on State Land. Sent down for concurrence.
